Happy Friday!

March 29, 2019

It's 3 weeks today since our Well Balanced Woman event to celebrate International Women's Day. It was a fantastic day shared with amazing and inspirational women and we are looking for female groups to share the event with next year to make it even better.

That same week, we launched our lottery funded community group open to everyone affected by fertility, pregnancy and related loss, whether personally or someone close, now or in the past. It runs weekly on a Wednesday 7-9, is very friendly and informal and we'd love to see some more of you there.

Our Easter Fete and Egg Hunt is fast approaching in a little over 2 weeks. We are still collecting prizes, but so far have 100 eggs, 44 packets of haribo, 2 Drusilla's tickets, 1 Bluee Lagoon family swim and 1 family photo shoot, so it will certainly be worth entering . . .if you are a small child!!

We have been very busy recruiting volunteers and their training will start in early May. There is still time to apply if you are interested in working with us. We are looking for both admin support and therapists in clinic, and are asking for a 4 hour commitment per week. We are also looking for volunteers to help us at events throughout the year.

Wedding Ball plans are well under way. Guests loved the opportunity to wear their wedding dresses again (or not) and have all the fun of a wedding whilst raising money for our very worthy cause. This year's is Saturday June 15th at The Lansdowne Hotel and Tickets are now on sale through Online Ticket Seller.

New for this year we will be holding a Dog Show generously being sponsored by Freedom Fields in Hankham where it is being held. There will be stalls, doggy competitions a radio station, entertainment and everything you need for a family and furry friendly day out.

For those that like the slower pace, we have organised a much more sedate day out on 23rd August when we will be picked up by coach and escorted to 2 very different vineyards for tours and tastings with lunch at the first. If you are interested in this you may want to get in quick, as tickets are already being reserved.

If you are into walking we will again be doing our "Winter Waddle" a sponsored walk that takes approximately 6 hours wearing a false bumps. We do this to raise not just funds, but also awareness that some of clients will carry the weight of their pregnancy throughout, and even go through labour (active labour is on average 6 hours) and still go home without a baby and that is why our services are so necessary. Sign up is already open, so reserve your place now.

Last, but by no means least as I'm absolutely sure you know by now we were shortlisted for Airbourne People's Charity of the year! This would be a fantastic opportunity for us and as the newest smallest charity in the running we have done everything we can to get you to vote for us, now we just have to wait for the results, fingers crossed!

Thank you all for your continuing support, it is, as always much appreciated and I very much look forward to seeing you soon in clinic and or at one or all of our events.

Have a lovely weekend

Victoria
