Counsellor and Coordinator - Hastings

Initially a temporary contract to the end of 2021, working 1 day (6 hours) per week, preferably Wednesday, term time only (40 weeks per year) - salary £34,281 pro rata
Role would be suitable for a newly qualified counsellor with a background in business management / support or similar.
The role is providing counselling to clients affected by infertility, pregnancy and perinatal death as well as raising awareness of the new clinic in the locality; building the client base and referral streams.
Please be aware you will not be using all of your time counselling, in fact at the beginning there may be no counselling as this is a brand new clinic. The aim of the role is to build the clinic and the client base and therefore you will spend the majority of the time at the beginning raising awareness and building client resources, incorporating more counselling as the clinic builds. The maximum client sessions you would ever be expected to provide within this timeframe is 4 and we would expect this to take all of your working time and community awareness raising to be decreased / stopped accordingly.
Counselling qualification of at least level 5
Member of a relevant professional body
Lives locally to and is able to physically work at Warrior Square St Leonards (role may start remotely but will be clinic based within the year)
100 client hours
Personal and or professional experience of the issues we support
40+ hours of personal therapy (ongoing if necessary)
Ability to work alone and self motivate
Professionalism to work within a multiagency team and represent Muma Nurture
Passion for promoting Muma Nurture and our work and building relationships with other agencies.

Therefore we expect all counsellors to have had a minimum of 40 hours personal therapy and or be engaged in continuing therapy and see the benefit in such.
